J.J. gave his life to the Lord while
attending George C. Wallace Junior
College. After his sophomore year in
college, J.J. received a baseball
scholarship to the University of
Mobile. He joined First Baptist
Satsuma, and became actively involved
with the college ministries. The Lord
began opening doors for J.J. to share
his testimony. During this time, J.J.
sensed that God was calling him into
the gospel ministry. He began to
pursue more opportunities to share
the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Before graduating from the University
of Mobile, J.J. met his best friend,
and future wife, Paula Bray. The two
wed on November 7, 1992. After
graduating, Paula and J.J. moved to
Birmingham, Alabama where J.J.
attended Beeson Divinity School at
Samford University. J.J. graduated
from Beeson in 1998 with a Masters of
Divinity.
J.J. has been in full time Christian
ministry over a decade. He has been
involved with many national and
international missions trips.
J.J. was called to
Riverside Baptist Church as Pastor in
January 2004.
